After taking the On a Block seminar last year, I became keenly aware of just how often I rely on a blocked design. This month's seminar features rule breaking ideas. The compositions are different than my go to design and I am hoping that completing several layouts will help me to try to incorporate a different design every now and again. I am one of those people that needs to do something a few times in order to make it into a habit.

This layout is one of my new favorites. Not just because of the cute photos, but also because the design is so different from what I use. I love how this design breaks rules but works so well.

The Lil Supervisor and the Motorvan by Christy Strickler |Supplies Cardstock: Bazzill; Patterned Paper, Stickers, Die Cuts: Jillibean Soup; Letters: Jilibean Soup, October Afternoon; Wood Veneer; Sequins, German Foil: Jenni Bowlin; Other: Paperclip
My son used to call my grandparents' Rv the Motorvan. I love how this design allowed me to use scraps of paper from the August JBS Mercantile kit to complete it.
I have a few more layouts to create for this Scrapbook Coach lesson. I love how the designs I am using are so different from my normal choices. I also love how these designs work so well with leftover scraps. I am really making some good use of leftover bits.
If you create any layouts from the Scrapbook Coach series, we would love to see them in the Get It Scrapped Gallery. Meanwhile, I hope you will join in for this month's topic. I am a guest teacher in the Photo Play series.
